Thursday 2nd July 2020
The club is taking advantage of the easing of lockdown guidance this Saturday 4th July and will open the clubhouse and bar to enable members to come along and socialise. The committee has worked hard to come up with a plan to ensure the club is as safe as possible for members in the current Covid-19 climate. Unfortunately, the government has not given us any further guidance on playing matches later this summer yet, however we do plan to open the bar on an ongoing basis. Please find below the club’s guidelines and it would be great to see as many members as possible on Saturday. Please also find attached some pictures to illustrate the measures the club has taken to make the environment as safe as possible.
The bar is open on Saturday 4th July from 4pm – 11pm. This is weather permitting and the club will close if it rains
Entrance (and queue) to bar will be from the side door (near kitchen) only
Please sanitise your hands upon entering and exiting the club
There will be a one-way system so the exit for the bar will be out through the main double doors at the front of the clubhouse
There will be markings on the floor 1.5m apart to assist with social distancing guidelines. There is a transition in guidelines from 2m to 1m from 4th July, so the club have decided to go half-way between these figures to be on the safe side
One person (two if from same household) allowed in the bar at any one time
Six drink maximum per transaction to avoid individuals having to go back and forwards to the bar
Disposable plastic glasses will be used at all time, with bins available for empties.
Please take any rubbish from picnics or takeaways away with you. We will only be taking plastic cups as rubbish
Food will not be available apart from items such as crisps and nuts from behind the bar
Card payments only will be accepted to avoid staff handling cash
There will be a transition period of 10-15 minutes every hour when the bar will be temporarily closed to allow for cleaning and transition of new bar staff
Name and contact details will be taken for everyone using the bar for potential track and trace purposes
Benches will be moved out on to the outfield. There will be limited seating so please bring your own camping chairs etc
Toilets will have a separate entrance and exit which will be highlighted
Toilets to be cleaned before and after use, this is the user’s responsibility. Cleaning equipment will be made available
When using wipes please dispose of in empty nappy sacks.
The facilities will be available for members only. This is for insurance purposes.
All membership payments must be made by 12 noon on Saturday 4th July
Anyone flouting the rules will be asked to leave the club
We ask parents to take responsibility for their children and ensure they socially distance.
Please come and support your club as we could really do with the financial help right now. Don't forget you can become a social member for as little as £20.
